Serving Our Community For Over 15 Years
My approach to counseling starts with a nurturing, safe, and supportive space where children, teens, and adults can explore, heal, and thrive! I am passionate about providing specialized care that meets the unique emotional, social, and developmental needs of whoever comes into the counseling space. Finding someone to trust with this task can be difficult, and at times even scary! I hope through learning a little more about me on this page and scheduling a phone call, we can take that next step in beginning the counseling journey together.
I am passionate about working with children, teens, and young adults. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and am working on earning my title as a Registered Play Therapist. I am also a SPACE trained clinician (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions). SPACE treatment is a parent- only based program for parents of children and adolescents with anxiety and OCD. Developed by Dr. Eli Lebowitz at Yale Child Study Center, SPACE has been clinically proven to be as effective as CBT. Learn more below!
When working with children, I believe in the power of play, creativity, and connection as tools for healing and growth. Through child-friendly interventions and evidence-based techniques, I strive to create a safe and engaging environment where children can express themselves, build resilience, and develop essential coping skills. Sessions are designed to be interactive, developmentally appropriate, and tailored to your child's individual needs and interests. I prioritize incorporating the whole child during the therapeutic process- including options for weekly conversations with parents, caregivers, and teachers in order to address every piece of the puzzle in the child's world. Consultations are intended to provide parents with guidance, education, and resources to better understand their child's needs, strengthen family relationships, and support ongoing progress outside of therapy sessions. YOU can be a huge piece in assisting positive growth for your child's mental health, and I would love to help in giving you the confidence to do so!
As a (somewhat 🙂 ) recent graduate, I understand the complexities and struggles that come with navigating newfound freedom, changing friendships, and self identity. Transition from high school to college, as well as college to post-grad can be an exciting, yet often challenging phases of life. Whether you're adjusting to college life, exploring career paths, managing relationships, or facing uncertainty about the future, I am here to explore that with you. My goal is to provide you with the tools, support, and resources you need to navigate these transitions with confidence.
I graduated with my bachelor’s in psychology from Texas A&M University, and was a member of Delta Delta Delta. I earned my master’s at Southern Methodist University. In my free time, I love spending time with family, friends, and pets. I spend as much time as I can enjoying my life in Dallas and practicing self care through long walks and time outside. I enjoy traveling and spending time at the lake! Faith is also a big part of my life- I attend Highland Park United Methodist Church and led a high school girl’s group for 4 years.
