My therapeutic approach is education/research based and is grounded in the belief that our thoughts, feelings, and actions are powerfully linked. I help clients of all ages identify and correct negative or destructive thought patterns, feelings and behaviors. I truly believe that if you can change your thoughts, you can change your life! I offer a wide variety of treatment modalities in order to meet my clients' needs: play, art, talk, and coaching. I do not believe in a one size fits all approach to therapy. My treatment plans & approaches are based on a client's goals, passions, strengths, abilities, & unique life experiences.
As a former educator and school counselor, I have learned how to utilize my creativity to inspire & motivate clients to live their lives to the fullest potential. I offer solution based, practical, real world strategies that fit our busy lifestyles. Along with traditional therapy, I offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Therapy, Parent Coaching & Life Coaching for children, adults, and families.
I hold a Bachelors of Science degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Counseling. I attended the University of North Texas.
I am a fledgling runner, yogi and mother of two. Creativity is the way I share my soul with the world and I am happiest when I am involved in creative endeavors...interior design, party planning, creating art and writing.
