Serving Our Community For Over 15 Years
To me, being a Licensed Professional Counselor means shining a light on the hope that is available to the families I work with. I put my heart into my work and find joy in seeing transformation happen in the lives of families. My therapeutic philosophy is client-centered, as I have found that when I bring congruence, unconditional positive regard, and empathy into the therapeutic process, clients find the growth and fulfillment they’re seeking.
I work primarily with children and adolescents and have experience in helping with: depression and anxiety, grief, behavioral issues, anger, social skills, child/parent relationship training, parent coaching, coping with medical needs, trauma, faith, attachment in adoption, sensory regulation, divorce, and ADHD.
After attending Texas A&M University for psychology, I started my career as an early childhood teacher in Irving ISD for four years. I followed my passion to help children through obtaining a Masters in Counseling at the University of North Texas. I had the privilege and challenge of working as an elementary school counselor in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD for four more years before completely transitioning to private practice. I’ve been seeing clients at FCC since 2012. Faith, family, and friends are especially important to me.
